University Gamejam 2023 is a social, collaborative competition where competitors can work individually or form teams to make a game from scratch within a week! Everyone with all sorts of skillsets are welcome (not just game developers!). Themes of the week are set at the Opening Ceremony on Monday.

You must be 16 or over to enter University Gamejam. (If you are under 18 years old, you must be accompanied by a guardian)

Our gamejam is run for one week – with the competition starting on Monday 19th June and ‘pens down’ on Thursday 22nd. Friday 23rd June is the all important play testing day, and we wrap it all up with the Awards Ceremony. Our set time period for the event is 9 - 5 working hours with an hour for lunch.

If you are attending virtually this year we encourage a maximum 7 working hours a day, flexible to you. We don't want loads of extra hours of "crunch time". We want it to be fun for all!

Friday is entirely reserved for playing and judging, so you've got the day to play the games (or download and play the games, if you're attending virtually), and the judges can experience all the entries.

*Note: T-Shirts will only be made if there is sufficient demand. In the event there is not enough interest, the T-shirt portion of your entry fee will be refunded. T-shirts are available for UK recipients only.*

Practice-research in Games 2023 (PinG’23) is a one-day conference for game design professionals.

The event will provide a platform for showcasing, disseminating, examining, and discussing practice-research from across the games research, design, and development spectrum.
