Women in Sport & Exercise Academic Network (WiSEAN) Conference 2024

We are delighted to have been selected to host the 6th Women in Sport and Exercise Academic Network (WiSEAN) conference in 2024, here at the University of Portsmouth. 

This conference aims to explore the theme “Moving Women: Shaping Victories", focusing on empowering women in the realms of sport and exercise. Our goals are to:

• Celebrate the advancements in research that enhance the overall well-being of women athletes
• Challenge existing attitudes and boundaries that persist for women in the sports industry and inspire change
• Provide a dynamic platform for networking and enhance confidence through shared knowledge and experiences

The conference registration fee includes all planned social activities. These include an optional evening pre-conference gathering on Tuesday 25th June, a conference dinner on Wednesday 26th June and a range of early morning fitness activities to get involved with before we start our second day of conferencing
