If you studied at Portsmouth Polytechnic (CNAA) between 1969 and 1992 you will need to contact the Open University Validation Service who will provide a proforma certificate. If you graduated prior to 1969, please email [email protected] to check that we are able to fulfil your request before placing your order. Once we have received your order, you will need to email us a scanned copy of your original certificate and/or transcript. If you do not have the original documents, you will need to purchase replacement documents as part of your order. We will check this against our records and then stamp and sign it to say it is a certified true copy. We will send it to you as a pdf. If you need it to be sent to a third party, please include their contact details in your order. If you would like the certified copy(ies) posting to a third party you can select either Royal Mail or Courier and these will be charged at an additional fee. We aim to process your request in 10-15 working days; however at peak times (July and November) this may take longer. These are charged at £10 per document. Please note that graduates are permitted to have one copy of their award documents in their possession at any one time; multiple copies cannot be requested. Once a new copy of your award documents are printed, previous copies are rendered invalid. We are able to provide replacement award documents for graduates who were awarded after 1 September 1992 when the University received its awarding powers. However, for graduates who completed their studies between 1992 and 1999 we are unable to provide replacement transcripts as the University did not retain module marks prior to this date. You can request a replacement set of award documents if you have had your degree conferred by the Board of Examiners, and have previously been issued with a certificate/transcript that is now lost, damaged, or destroyed. If you have recently completed your degree and have not yet received your award documents please request a letter of verification. A Transcript is a record of your learning and achievements, including a list of module results which contributed towards the overall award decision. This is not the same as an award certificate (parchment). If you require certificates for multiple degrees (e.g. BA and MA), please add separate products to your order and answer the questions for each award. If you require a Certified True Copy of your award documents for verification purposes, please add this product to your order. Usual turnaround time for processing orders is 10-15 working days. However during our Graduation period in July, with high demand from our current cohort for their documentation, it is possible we could take longer to complete your order. All orders made through our store are sent in an envelope bearing the University crest. Delivery or collection: There are 3 options: Collection from the MyPort Information Centre in University House. This service is provided free of charge. If you select this option, you will receive an email when your replacement document(s) are ready for collection. Please do not go to collect your documents before you are informed they are ready. Royal Mail "Signed for" delivery to UK and overseas destinations. Please be aware that not all overseas postal services have a reciprocal agreement with Royal Mail, so we cannot guarantee that your replacement documents will arrive safely to the address you have given us. Please see the Royal Mail’s information about overseas postal tracking. The cost of this service varies depending where in the world you live. Please note it can take 6-8 weeks for international mail to arrive. We also offer a DHL door to door Courier service for an additional cost.
